Crack of dawn.
Am I cracked?
"Maybe I'm crazy...maybe WE'RE crazy....probably!"
(to quote a current song)
Anyhow. Up before the larks, some larking
about by the Gloucestershire Morris men
(and ladies, from Stroud) on Painswick Beacon

Like the good pagans we are (!) we greeted
the sunrising on the first of May oh!
For it is the first summers day, oh!
(Sadly the sun was having a lie in behind a thick
blanket of grey cloud-cum-fog!! Hey ho!)....

and sing to the old horse on the first of May (oh!)

All very English eh?

Musicians! Take a bow!

And now everyone. Thank you all! You made my day
(or made MAY DAY, whatever)

p.s. The sun finally begins to make an appearance,
here illuminating May Hill!

and here, Downham Hill as I head for home,
blogging, breakfast and a well earned siesta!

Don't Bloggers get up to amazing things :-)
There is a very 'other worldly' look to some of these photos, guess it must be the early morning light. I particularly like the hanky waving one.
Look forward to seeing the movie clip!
I'm trying with the video, but don't hold your breath!
OK - I wont hold my breath. :-)
Don't have the faintest idea how you would do that.
Maybe you could have a mooch round other blogs to find video footage and then have a look at their code to see how they have done it?
Maybe there are guidelines in Blogger.com help?
Thast about it on my ideas at this time of day!
Horray I did it!
You did! Fantastic! Hooray for you :-)
Its very energetic for that time of the morning!
